The following information supplements the "Service Procedure" and Claim Information" sections of Chevrolet campaign Bulletin 86C19 issued February, 1987, to account for vehicles equipped with 8.2L Diesel Engines.
# For vehicles equipped with 8.2L Diesel Engine
# 1. Remove rubber noise shield from frame rail. See figure 1.
# 2. Remove bolts securing noise shield bracket at power steering bracket mounting location.
# 3. Remove three power steering cylinder to frame attaching bolts and discard bolts, nuts and washers (retain spacer if equipped). See Figure 1.
4. Remove paint from frame rail and power steering cylinder mating surfaces using a wire brush.
# 5. Install power steering cylinder mounting bracket to frame using new bolts, new prevailing torque nuts and washers. Torque nuts to 75 Nm (55 lbs.ft). Reattach noise shield bracket and shield.
6. After assembly, repaint exposed metal using a quality paint.
7. Install Campaign Identification Label according to the instructions outlined in this bulletin.

*Campaign Administrative Allowance
**The "Parts Allowance" should be the sum total of the current GMSPO Dealer Net price plus 30% of all parts required for the repair.
***The "Net Amount" credit will automatically be given to cover the cost of paint used in conjunction with this repair.
Dealers will automatically receive the correct labor and material allowance based on the labor operation performed.
