THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO ADD MODEL YEARS, MODELS, AND PARTS INFORMATION. PREVIOUS DIVISIONAL PUBLICATION NUMBERS WERE:

SOME OWNERS MAY EXPERIENCE AN INDICATED OVERHEAT CONDITION WHERE THE TEMPERATURE GAGE READS 20 TO 30 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT TOO HIGH. IN ADDITION, TRUCKS WITH RPO X54 OPTION (CHECK GAGES WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH) MAY HAVE THE CHECK GAGES WARNING LIGHT ON DUE TO INCORRECT TEMPERATURE GAGE READING.
TO CORRECT THIS CONDITION THE TEMPERATURE SENDER SHOULD BE REPLACED.
TEMPERATURE SENDER REPLACEMENT (FIGURE 1)
REMOVE THE OLD SENDER AND REPLACE IT WITH THE PART LISTED BELOW. THE SENDER WILL BE LOCATED ON THE INBOARD SIDE OF THE RADIATOR INLET HOSE. THERE ARE TWO SIMILAR SENDERS AT THAT POINT, AND THE TEMPERATURE SENDER IS THE ONE ON TOP. THE NEW SENDER WILL HAVE SEALER ALREADY ON THE THREADS, SO NO ADDITIONAL PROCEDURES ARE NECESSARY.
