CUSTOMER SATISFACTION CAMPAIGN
General Motors has decided that certain 1995-1997 Chevrolet and GMC W5, and 1995-1996 W6 and W7 model vehicles all equipped with 6HE1-TC diesel engines may exhibit a condition in which the fuel injection lines may crack from vibration due to the design of the jaw clamps that hold the injection lines in place. This cracking could cause engine power loss or vibration.
To prevent the possibility of this condition occurring, dealers are to replace the injection lines, jaw clamps, and other related hardware with new improved parts.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
