Before checking the wheel bearing adjustment, fully release the brakes.

Raise the front axle until the wheels clear the floor.

Inspect the bearing play using either of the following procedures:

If the bearings are properly adjusted, movement of the tire will be barely noticeable, and the wheel will turn freely.

If movement is excessive, adjust the bearings. Refer to Wheel Bearing Adjustment .
