Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fan shrouds. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.

  3. Object Number: 247451  Size: SH
  4. Remove the pulley mounting nut and the washer.

  5. Object Number: 247457  Size: SH

    Notice: Always use the inner edges of the pulley holes when removing the pulley. Using the outer edge or the belt grooves to remove the pulley may warp or damage the pulley. Following these instructions will help to avoid damage to the pulley.

  6. Remove the power steering pulley from the power steering pump extracting the key.
  7. Check the key for damage.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 247457  Size: SH
  1. Position the pulley to the power steering pump shaft. Place the key on the shaft.

  2. Object Number: 247451  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the pulley mounting nut and washer.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the pulley mounting nut to 62 N·m (46 lb ft).

  5. Install the drive belt . Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
  6. Install the fan shrouds. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Cooling.
