The switch mounting screws are loose.	Tighten the mounting screws.
The switch, detent , or springs are broken or missing.	Install a new turn signal and multifunction switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Disassemble - Off Vehicle and Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
