The multifunctional alarm module is powered by battery voltage supplied from the STOP/HZRD fuse through CKT 140 (ORN).
The seat belt input has permanent ground at G 200. Ignition voltage is supplied from the GAUGES fuse through CKT 39 (PNK). With the ignition switch in RUN or START, the fasten safety belt warning alarm will sound for approximately five seconds. The module will also supply voltage to the seat belt indicator lamp within the driver information center printed circuit board. The indicator lamp is grounded at G 102 and lights for approximately 75 seconds.
When the headlamp switch is in the park or headlamp position, voltage is supplied through the ILLUM fuse to the multifunction alarm module through CKT 8 (GRY). When voltage is sensed at the instrument panel lamp input in the module and there is an absence of voltage at the ignition terminal, the lamps-on warning alarm will sound. The lamps-on warning alarm is silenced either by turning the headlamp switch to the OFF position , or by turning the ignition switch to the RUN position.
Voltage is supplied from the key-in warning output of the module to the key-in warning switch. When a key is left in the ignition switch, the contacts of key-in warning switch are closed and voltage is supplied to a door jamb switch (body builder provision). When the ignition switch is in the LOCK position and the contacts for the door jamb switch are closed (door open), the circuit is completed and the key-in warning sounds.
