Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 241021  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the oil cooler lines at the filter and the transmission.

  2. Object Number: 241024  Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolts securing the oil cooler lines to the frame rail.

  4. Object Number: 240987  Size: SH
  5. Remove the support bracket bolt (2) from the support block (3) and disconnect the oil cooler lines (5) and (6) from the radiator.
  6. Remove the oil cooler lines (5) and (6) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 240987  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the two oil cooler lines (5) and (6) to the radiator.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the oil cooler lines at the radiator to 23 N·m (17 lb ft)

  3. Install the support bracket (3) with the retaining bolt (2) to the radiator.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the support bracket retaining (2) bolt to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Install the support brackets and retaining bolts to the frame rail.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the support bracket bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  7. Install the two nuts in order to secure the two oil cooler lines to the transmission.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  9. Install the oil cooler lines to the transmission filter. Note directional flow.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the line fittings to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
