WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION PAYMENT OF ACCESS TIME

SUBJECT: WARRANTY ADMINISTRATION - PAYMENT OF ACCESS TIME FOR P-CHASSIS MOTORHOME ENGINE WARRANTY REPAIRS

MODELS: P3 CHASSIS MOTOR HOME ENGINE 1995 AND PRIOR MODEL YEARS

SERVICE MANAGER AND WARRANTY ADMINISTRATOR

THE PURPOSE OF THIS BULLETIN IS TO ADVISE RETAIL AND WHOLESALE SERVICE PERSONNEL OF AN ENHANCEMENT TO THE WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURES ASSOCIATED WITH P-CHASSIS MOTORHOME ENGINE REPAIRS.

EFFECTIVE WITH THE RECEIPT OF THIS BULLETIN, DEALERS WILL NOW BE COMPENSATED FOR THE ACTUAL TIME REQUIRED TO REMOVE COACH COMPONENTS IN GAINING ACCESS TO FAILED ENGINE COMPONENTS ON P-CHASSIS MOTORHOMES; ALL J OPERATIONS. ONCE THE COMPONENT IS REPAIRED, EITHER ON-THE-VEHICLE OR REMOVED AND REINSTALLED, DEALERS WILL ALSO BE COMPENSATED FOR REINSTALLING COACH COMPONENTS THAT REQUIRED REMOVAL TO GAIN ACCESS. WHEN DOING SO, DEALERS SHOULD USE THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE:

- ALL ACCESS AND REINSTALLATION TIME MUST BE APPROVED BY DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGEMENT ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS.

- ACCESS TIME - SUBMIT FOR ACTUAL STRAIGHT TIME REQUIRED TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE FAILED ENGINE COMPONENT.

- FLAT RATE REPAIR TIME - ONCE ACCESS IS GAINED, UTILIZE THE APPROPRIATE J-LABOR OPERATION FOUND IN THE LTG.

- REINSTALLATION TIME - ONCE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, SUBMIT FOR ACTUAL AMOUNT OF STRAIGHT TIME TO REINSTALL COMPONENTS THAT WERE REMOVED TO GAIN ACCESS.

- ACCESS AND REINSTALL TIME SHOULD BE PLACED IN OTHER LABOR HOURS.

- APPROPRIATE EXCESSIVE CLAIM AUTHORIZATION WILL BE REQUIRED.
