  1. Place the ignition switch in RUN.
  2. Open the driver door.

Does the chime sound?

  1. Remove the audio alarm module from the convenience center.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the audio alarm module terminal K4 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 3

Replace the audio alarm module.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between the IP fuse block and the audio alarm module.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF or LOCK position and leave the key in the switch.
  2. Remove the audio alarm module from the convenience center.
  3. Disconnect connector C266.
  4. Using a self-powered test lamp, test for continuity between the audio alarm module terminal J3 and ground.

Is there continuity?

Locate and repair the short to ground in CKT 80 (LT GRN) between the audio alarm module and connector C266.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Install the audio alarm module in the convenience center.

Does the chime sound?

Replace the audio alarm module.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Using a self-powered test lamp, test for continuity between connector C266 cavity B3 and ground.

Is there continuity?

Replace the key-in warning buzzer switch.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

Using a self-powered test lamp, test for continuity between connector C266 cavities B3 and B4.

Is there continuity?

Using a self-powered test lamp, test for continuity between connector C266 cavity B4 and ground.

  1. Disconnect the connector at the driver door jamb switch.
  2. Use a self-powered test lamp in order to test for continuity between the driver door jamb switch terminal C and ground.

Locate and repair the open in CKT 159 (TAN) between connector C266 and the driver door jamb switch.

Is the repair complete?
