  1. Remove the audio alarm module.
  2. Disconnect the steering column harness connector C266.
  3. Using a DMM, test for continuity between the audio alarm terminal J3 and connector C266 terminal B3.

Is there continuity?

Go to Step 3

Locate and repair the open in CKT 80 (LT GRN) between the audio alarm module and connector C266.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

  1. Place the ignition key in the ignition switch.
  2. Using a DMM, test for continuity between connector C266 terminals B3 and B4.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 4

Replace the key-in warning buzzer switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

  1. Disconnect the connector at the driver door jamb switch.
  2. Using a DMM, test for continuity between connector C266 terminal B4 and the driver door jamb switch connector terminal C.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 6

Locate and repair the open in CKT 159 (TAN) between connector C266 and the driver door jamb switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

--

  1. Open the driver door.
  2. Using a DMM, test for continuity between terminals C and B of the driver door jamb switch connector.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 8

Replace the driver door jamb switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

System OK

Use a J 39200 Digital MultiMeter in order to test for continuity between the driver door jamb switch connector terminals B and ground G200.

Is there continuity?

--

Go to Step 10

Replace the audio alarm module.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the driver door jamb switch and ground G200.

Is the repair complete?
