  1. Place the ignition switch in the RUN or ACCY position.
  2. Connect a test lamp between terminal A and terminal B of the inoperative power window motor connector.
  3. Press the power window switch up and down.

Does the test lamp light in both positions?

  1. Inspect the inoperative power window motor for a poor connection.
  2. If the connection is OK, replace the power window motor.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

  1. Connect a test lamp at the inoperative power window switch connector between one of the following locations:
  2. • For the left rear switch, terminal A and terminal E
    • For the right rear switch, terminal A and terminal E
    • For the left front switch, terminal J and terminal L
  3. Press the inoperative power window switch at the power window master switch up and down.

Does the test lamp light in both positions?

Go to Step 4

  1. Connect at test lamp at the inoperative window switch connector between one of the following locations:
  2. • For the left front switch, terminal G and terminal K
    • For the left rear switch, terminal D and terminal H
    • For the right rear switch, terminal D and terminal H
  3. Press the inoperative window switch up and down.

Does the test lamp light in both positions?

Repair the open in one or more of the following circuit combinations between the switch and the inoperative power window motor:

    • At the left front power window switch, CKT 666 (DK BLU) and CKT 667 (BRN)
    • At the left rear power window switch, CKT 668 (DK BLU) and CKT 669 (BRN)
    • At the right rear power window switch, CKT 670 (BRN) and CKT 671 (DK BLU)

Is the repair complete?

  1. Inspect the inoperative window switch for a poor connection.
  2. If the connection is good, replace the inoperative window switch.

  1. Connect a test lamp at the right front power window master switch connector between one of the following locations:
  2. • For the left front, terminal A and terminal E on connector C2
    • For the left rear, terminal H on connector C1 and terminal H on connector C2
    • For the right rear, terminal K on connector C1 and terminal G on connector C2
  3. Press the inoperative power window switch at the power window master switch up and down.

Does the test lamp light in both positions?

Go to Step 8

Repair loose connectors or opens between the right front power window master switch connector(s) and one of the following inoperative power window switch circuits:

    • CKT 167 or CKT 166 for the left front switch
    • CKT 168 or CKT 169 for the left rear switch
    • CKT 170 or CKT 171 for the right rear switch

Is the repair complete?
