Stabilizer Shaft Link Bracket Replacement All Models Except C/K 3
Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
- Remove the following parts from the stabilizer links:
- Remove the bolts from the clamp insulators.
- Remove the nuts and bolts from the stabilizer bracket to the frame.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the nuts
and the bolts to the stabilizer bracket and the frame.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
- Install the bolts to the insulators and the clamps.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).
- Install the nuts, the washers, and the bolts to the stabilizer
links.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
Stabilizer Shaft Link Bracket Replacement C/K 3 Models
Removal Procedure
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
- Remove the nuts.
- Remove the insulators.
- Remove the bolts from the spacer and the stabilizer shaft.
- Remove the nuts from the U-bolts.
- Remove the following parts:
- Remove the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
- Install the stabilizer shaft to the rear axle.
- Install the following parts:

- Install the nuts
to the U-bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
- Install the bolts through the following parts:
- Install the nuts.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 23 N·m (17 lb ft)
