Low Oil Pressure Due to Steering Gear for Chevrolet Chevy Suburban - 2WD 2000

Possible Cause

Correction

A worn piston ring or a scored housing bore causes pressure loss in the cylinder.

  1. Disassemble the steering gear.
  2. Inspect the ring.
  3. Inspect the housing bore.
  4. Replace the affected parts.

A worn seal leaks at the valve rings and the valve body.

  1. Disassemble the steering gear.
  2. Replace the seals.

The valve body leaks or the fitting spool is loose.

Replace the valve.
