Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement Lower

1. Remove upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .



2. Pry gently with a thin-bladed tool in order to release the clips.



3. Slide the trim panel upward to disengage mounting hooks.
4. Remove the trim panel from the liftgate.

1. Position the trim panel to vehicle.



2. Slide the trim panel downward to engage mounting hooks.
3. Install the upper trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
4. Install the pull strap.

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover.

1. Remove expanding plastic fasteners at window latch close-out.
2. Using the J 38778 , release the retainers from the retainer seats.
3. Remove the trim panel from the liftgate.

1. Align the retainers with the holes in the liftgate.
2. Apply pressure to the seat retainers.
3. Install the expanding plastic retainers at the window latch close-out.
