Information Center Telltale Assembly Replacement Utility

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear quarter garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 762783  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Remove the retaining screws (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 762783  Size: SH
  1. Install the information center telltale assembly to the garnish molding.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the retaining screws (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the retaining screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the rear quarter garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

Information Center Telltale Assembly Replacement Escalade EXT

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.

  2. Object Number: 818656  Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 screws retaining the information telltale .
  4. Remove the information telltale from the garnish molding.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 818656  Size: SH
  1. Install the information telltale to the garnish molding.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   3. Install the 2 retaining screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the 2 screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Upper Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
