REVISION: 01/11/95
THIS BULLETIN IS BEING REVISED TO ADD THE 1994 MODEL YEAR AND CHANGE THE PART NUMBER. PLEASE DISCARD BULLETIN NUMBER 361007 (GROUP REFERENCE 10 - ACCESSORIES). ----------------------------------------------------------------------
CUSTOMERS MAY COMMENT THAT THE REAR LIFTGLASS DOES NOT RELEASE OR IS INOPERATIVE WHEN THE HATCH RELEASE IS OPENED.
THE CURRENT WEATHERSTRIP DOES NOT OFFER ENOUGH RESISTANCE TO KEEP THE GUIDE PIN FROM RELATCHING.
REPLACE THE CURRENT WEATHERSTRIP WITH A REDESIGNED PART. THE NEW PART HAS A SOLID FOAM CORE INSERT IN THE WEATHERSTRIP WHERE THE GUIDE PIN AND LATCH MEET.
1. REMOVE THE TRIM PANEL TO ENDGATE SCREWS. 2. REMOVE THE TRIM PANEL FROM THE ENDGATE. 3. REMOVE THE WEATHERSTRIP FROM THE ENDGATE FLANGE. 4. INSTALL THE REDESIGNED WEATHERSTRIP WITH THE FOAM ROD INSERT IN THE CENTER (P/N 15711749). 5. INSTALL THE TRIM PANEL TO THE ENDGATE. 6. INSTALL THE TRIM PANEL TO ENDGATE SCREWS.
