Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing for Chevrolet Chevy Suburban - 4WD 1998

After replacing the brake linings and/or refinishing rotors, the new braking surface should be broken in, or burnished. To burnish, make 20 stops from 48 km (30 mph) using a medium to firm brake pedal pressure. Be careful not to overheat the brakes while performing the burnishing procedure.
