Vehicle Yaw Sensor with Vehicle Lateral Accelerometer Replacement Escalade
Removal Procedure
- Remove the front floor console bezel. Refer to
Floor Console Bezel Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages, and
Console.
- Disconnect the yaw rate
sensor/lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
- Remove the 3 yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer nuts.
- Remove the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Important: Use care not to bend or distort the bracket that supports the yaw rate
sensor/lateral accelerometer.
- Install the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer to the bracket.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the 3 yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer nuts to the bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
- Install the front floor bezel. Refer to
Floor Console Bezel Replacement
in Instrument Panel, Gages, and
Console.
