Rear Side Door Window Replacement Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 739350  Size: SH
  1. Partially raise the window.
  2. Remove the manual door-lock lever.
  3. Remove the manual window handle, if equipped. Refer to Door Window Regulator Handle Replacement .
  4. Remove the power accessory switch panel. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .
  5. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  7. Loosen the window run channel bolt.
  8. Important: Do not remove the bolt.

  9. Loosen the retaining bolts (3) from the window assembly .
  10. Remove the window glass (1) from the door by sliding the window glass out through the top.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the window glass (1) to the door by sliding the window glass through the top of the door.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Tighten the retaining bolts to the window assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 12 N·m (9 lb ft).

  5. Install the window run channel bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the power accessory switch panel. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .
  10. Install the manual window handle if equipped. Refer to Door Window Regulator Handle Replacement .
  11. Install the manual door-lock lever.
  12. Inspect the operation of the window.

Rear Side Door Window Replacement Suburban/Yukon XL/Avalanche/Escld Ext

Removal Procedure

  1. Partially raise the window.
  2. Remove the manual door-lock lever.
  3. Remove the manual window handle, if equipped. Refer to Door Window Regulator Handle Replacement .
  4. Remove the power accessory switch panel. Refer to Power Accessory Switch Panel Replacement .
  5. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  6. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  7. Remove the front bolt attachment from the window run channel.
  8. Loosen the retaining bolts (1) from the window assembly.
  9. Remove the window glass (2) from the door by sliding the window glass out through the top.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the window glass (2) to the door by sliding the window glass through the top of the door.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application.   10. Install the manual window handle if equipped. Refer to Door Window Regulator Handle Replacement .
  11. Install the manual door-lock lever.
  12. Inspect the operation of the window.
