When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
From field investigation and product reporting, cases of rear window defroster tabs have separated from the glass surface. Electrically conductive epoxy repair kits have been successful in reattaching the defroster tab to the glass. Repair kits such as Kent Automotive part number 57827-C and Loctite® product number 21351 have been reported as successful by dealer service departments. By following these repair kits, manufacturers recommended repair procedure, an effective repair can be achieved. For some vehicles, this repair procedure may not apply.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
