For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the oil pan gasket (2) from the groove in the oil pan (1).
- Clean the oil pan in solvent.
- Dry with compressed air.
- Inspect the oil pan for the following conditions:
Caution: Wear safety glasses in order to avoid eye damage.
| • | The drain plug hole for damaged threads |
| • | Gouges or damage to the oil pan sealing surfaces |
| • | Cracks or damage to the exterior of the oil pan |
| • | Damage to the oil level indicator tube area |
| • | Damage to the oil pan gasket |
