Evaporative Emission System Hoses/Pipes Replacement for Chevrolet Chevy Suburban - 4WD 2008
Removal Procedure
Important: Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Disconnect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting from the auxiliary EVAP canister. (Body shown removed for clarity). Refer to
Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
- Disconnect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting from the EVAP canister. Refer to
Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
- Remove the EVAP pipe clip (2) from the frame crossmember.
- Remove the EVAP pipe clip (1) from the rear brake front pipes.
- Remove the EVAP pipe (3) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the EVAP pipe (3) to the vehicle.
- Connect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting to the EVAP canister. Refer to
Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
- Connect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting to the auxiliary EVAP canister. Refer to
Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.
- Install the EVAP pipe clip (1) to the rear brake front pipes.
- Install the EVAP pipe clip (2) to the frame crossmember.
- Lower the vehicle.
