CAMPAIGN: STEERING GEAR MOUNTING BRACKET SUPPLEMENT

1980 CHEVROLET CITATION

The following information is a supplement to the Parts Information section located on Page 4 of your Campaign Bulletin 8OC12 issued September, 1979.

PARTS INFORMATION

Part Number 1051343 (Loctite 75), which was specified in the Service Procedure in Product Campaign Bulletin 80CO9, has been discontinued. A new Part Number 1052279 (Loctite 75) has been released and supercedes the original part number.

Loctite 75 is a two-part (primer/adhesive) unit that can be used on the stud threads. A one-part adhesive (Loctite 271) is also available through your Loctite jobber and can be used as a substitute for Part Number 1052279.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
