INPUT DRUM-LO AND REVERSE CLUTCH HOUSING-NEW DESIGN

BEGINNING EARLY MARCH, 1981, THM 125 AND 125C TRANSMISSIONS WERE BUILT WITH A NEW ONE PIECE INPUT DRUM, PART NO. 8637511 AND A REDESIGNED LO AND REVERSE CLUTCH HOUSING, PART NO. 8637514. THE NEW DESIGN INPUT DRUM WILL HAVE SCOOPS STAMPED INTO THE DRUM, REPLACING THE PAST DESIGN ROLL PINS. SEE FIGURE 1. THE LO AND REVERSE CLUTCH HOUSING IS REDESIGNED TO ALLOW CLEARANCE FOR THE INPUT DRUM SCOOPS. SEE FIGURE 2. SERVICE INFORMATION 1.EITHER THE PAST DESIGN OR NEW DESIGN INPUT DRUM CAN BE USED WITH THE NEW DESIGN LO AND REVERSE CLUTCH HOUSING. 2.DO NOT USE THE NEW DESIGN INPUT DRUM WITH THE PAST DESIGN LO AND REVERSE CLUTCH HOUSING OR INTERFERENCE WILL RESULT.
