Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the screws from the mud flap, if equipped.
- Remove the mud flap from the fender, if equipped.
- Remove the front fender
liner to front bumper fascia bolts.
- Remove the push-in retainers from the front fender liner.
- Remove the front fender
liner to front fender bolts (4).
- Remove the front fender liner from the front fender.
Installation Procedure
- Position the front fender
liner to the front fender.
- Install the push-in retainers to the front fender liner.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the front fender liner to front fender bolts (4).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the front fender
liner to front bumper fascia bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Position the mud flap to the front fender, if equipped.
- Install the front mud flap screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
