Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the mud flap screws from the mud flaps, if equipped.
  2. Remove the mud flaps from the vehicle.

  3. Object Number: 276870  Size: SH
  4. Remove the rocker panel molding screws (2) from the rocker panel molding (3).
  5. In order to remove the rocker panel molding (3) complete the following steps:
  6. 4.1. Push up on the rocker panel molding (3).
    4.2. Disengage the rocker panel molding (3) from the retainers (4).
  7. Remove the rocker panel molding retaining clips (1) and (4) from the vehicle, if necessary.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 276870  Size: SH
  1. Install the rocker panel molding retaining clips (1) and (4) to the vehicle, if removed.
  2. Snap the rocker panel molding (3) over the retainers (4).
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the rocker panel molding screws (2) to the rocker panel molding (3).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Position the mud flaps to the vehicle, if equipped.
  7. Install the mud flap screws to the mud flaps, if equipped.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
