  1. Open the hood.

  2. Object Number: 330152  Size: SH
  3. Loosen the bolts for the hood latch.

  4. Object Number: 747935  Size: SH
  5. Adjust the front hood bumpers (4) on the radiator support until the hood aligns with the front of the fenders.
  6. Measure the difference between the hood and the rear of the fender.
  7. Obtain a shim that is the same thickness as the difference between the hood and the rear of the fender.
  8. Loosen the hood hinge to hood bolts.
  9. Install the shim between the hood hinge (1) and the hood.
  10. Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts until snug.
  11. Position the hood latch upward.
  12. Tighten the hood latch bolts until they are snug.

  13. Object Number: 330152  Size: SH
  14. Carefully close the hood in order to engage the hood latch.
  15. Adjust the clearance between the hood and fender.
  16. Carefully open the hood.
  17. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  18. Tighten the hood latch bolts.
  19. Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch bolts to 28 N·m (21 lb in).

  20. Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts.
  21. Tighten
    Tighten the hood hinge to hood bolts to 25 N·m (21 lb ft).

  22. Close the hood.
