Removal Procedure
- Remove the split/folding rear seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .
- Remove the pivot bolt and bushing from the seat back.
- Disconnect the hook and loop strip which retains the rear seat back cover and pull back to access the staples.
- Remove the stables from the seat back cover.
- Reach inside of the seat back cover in order to unfasten the hook and loop retainers which secure the seat back cover to the pad.
- Remove the seat back cover from the pad.
Installation Procedure
- Install the seat back cover to the seat back pad.
- Use firm hand pressure in order to fasten the hook and loop retainers, securing the seat back cover to the pad.
- Install the cover to the rear seat back.
- Install the new stables to the rear seat back.
- Use firm hand pressure in order to fasten the hook and loop retainer on the seat back cover.
- Install the pivot bolt and bushing to the rear seat back.
- Install the split/folding rear seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the pivot bolt to 8 N·m (70 lb in).
