Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 820496  Size: SH
  1. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
  2. Remove the power seat switch bracket screw, if equipped. Remove the bracket from the cushion frame.
  3. Remove the wire harness rosebud retainer from the cushion frame (8), if equipped with power seats.
  4. Remove the seat back recliner cable from the cushion frame (8).
  5. Remove the seat back recliner bolts (5) from the cushion frame (8).
  6. Remove the seat back as an assembly from the cushion frame (8).
  7. Remove the seat adjuster bolts (9) from the cushion frame (8).
  8. Remove the adjusters (2) from the cushion frame (8).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 820496  Size: SH
  1. Install the adjusters (2) to the cushion frame (8).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the seat adjuster bolts (9) to the cushion frame (8).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat back assembly to the cushion frame (8).
  6. Install the seat back recliner bolts (5).
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Install the recliner cable to the cushion frame (8).
  9. Install the wire harness rosebud retainer to the cushion frame, if equipped with power seats.
  10. Install the power seat switch bracket to the cushion frame (8), if equipped. Install the power seat switch bracket screw.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  12. Install the front seat cushion cover and pad to the seat cushion frame. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement .
