Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 851774 Size: SH

    Important: The center air deflector outlet is serviceable from the backside of the instrument panel cluster trim plate.

  1. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Release the retaining tabs for the hazard warning switch (2).
  3. Remove the hazard warning switch (2) from the center air deflector (1).
  4. Remove the screws (4) for the center air deflector (1).
  5. Remove the center air deflector (1) from the I/P cluster trim plate (3).

Installation procedure

    Object Number: 851774 Size: SH
  1. Install the center air deflector (1) to the I/P cluster trim plate (3).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the screws (4) for the center air deflector (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  3. Install the hazard warning switch (2) to the center air deflector (1).
  4. Push the hazard warning switch (2) into the center air deflector (1) to engage the retaining tabs.
  5. Install the I/P cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
