Preliminary Procedure

Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement or Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.

Tip
Some vehicles will have hotmelt adhesive applied to the back side of the release handle. Remove this adhesive prior to servicing the handle. This adhesive is for manufacturing purposes only, it is NOT necessary to reapply adhesive after service.
