This bulletin is being revised to reflect the availability of the U1C radio. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 05-08-44-018 (Section 08 -- Body and Accessories).
The purpose of this bulletin is to advise dealers that the U1C radio is once again available through the Electronic Service Centers (ESCs).
The U1C radio can be reprogrammed to correct many CD performance and radio operational issues. Before exchanging a U1C radio, please refer to Corporate Bulletin Number 05-08-44-010B to determine if the customer concern can be corrected through reprogramming the radio. Radios should NOT be replaced if the customer concern can be corrected through reprogramming.
