This bulletin is being issued to revise the Seat Adjustment Replacement - Front procedure in the Seats sub-section of the Service Manual. Please replace the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.

Seat Adjuster Replacement - Front

Fastener Tightening Specifications: Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications.

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket.
  2. Remove the cushion frame. Refer to Seat Cushion Frame Replacement - Front.
  3. Unhook the lower attachments of the seat back cover and raise the cover enough to expose the recliner springs. Refer to Seat Back Cover and Pad Replacement - Front.
  4. Align both recliner springs so that tension is held by the notch on the seat back frame. Ensure that the springs are completely seated in the notches before removing the adjuster support.

Seat Back Frame Nuts (Qty: 6)

Tip
Remove the bolt in the adjuster support to separate the adjuster sides.

Tighten
20 N·m (14 lb ft)
