Subject: No Start After Engine Harness Replacement (NON-ABS)

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

You might encounter a condition of a NO START after the engine harness was replaced for another unrelated issue. You might find that you have no communication with the PCM and Possible TCM. For NON ABS equipped cars there are 2 wires that go through the EBCM to the ECM which if the vehicle is NOT equipped with ABS and the connector is left disconnected the vehicle will not run, and will cause an open circuit in high speed LAN

Note: All engine harnesses are fully content equipped.

Recommendation/Instructions:

The High speed Lan wires will have to be jumped and spliced together, making sure to match the Tan/Black (2500) to Tan/Black(2500) then Tan (2501) to Tan. (2501)

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
