Important: Follow the balance procedure steps listed below. Powertrain mounts must be tightened in sequence.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Loosen the front transaxle mount through bolt.

  3. Object Number: 1647340  Size: SH
  4. Loosen the rear transaxle mount through bolt.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Position two floor jacks with wood blocks under the engine and transaxle in order to support the powertrain assembly.

  7. Object Number: 1647344  Size: SH
  8. Loosen the transaxle mount to transaxle bolts.

  9. Object Number: 1656093  Size: SH
  10. Loosen the engine mount to bracket bolts.
  11. Reposition both floor jacks in order to allow a 1/8 inch gap between the mount and bracket.
  12. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1647344  Size: SH
  13. Tighten the transaxle mount to transaxle bolts in the sequence shown.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1656093  Size: SH
  15. Tighten the engine mount to bracket bolts in the sequence shown.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  17. Remove the floor jacks from under the oil pan.
  18. Shake the powertrain vigorously from front to rear and allow the powertrain to settle.
  19. Raise the vehicle.

  20. Object Number: 1647340  Size: SH
  21. Tighten the rear transaxle mount through bolt.
  22. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1647337  Size: SH
  23. Tighten the front transaxle mount through bolt.
  24. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 100 N·m (74 lb ft).

  25. Lower the vehicle.
