J 38122-A Harmonic Balancer Holder

1. Remove the right engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement - Right Side.
2. Remove the engine drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.



3. Use J 38122-A to prevent the crankshaft from rotating while loosening the crankshaft balancer bolt.
4. Remove the crankshaft balancer bolt. Discard the bolt.



5. Remove the crankshaft balancer.

1. Install the crankshaft balancer.
2. Install a NEW crankshaft balancer bolt.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




3. Use J 38122-A to prevent the crankshaft from rotating while tightening the crankshaft balancer bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 100 N·m (74 lb ft) plus 75 degrees.

4. Install the engine drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
5. Install the right engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement - Right Side.
