The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
The above mentioned vehicles may have a concern of a TCC surge or chuggle.
For dealers within a 100 mile radius of Detroit or 160km of Windsor to contact Bob Martin (Cell 248-672-9111) after confirming the condition but PRIOR to any repair attempts. A TCM snapshot can be emailed to robert.martiniii@gm.com. Engineers are interested in any 2007 or 2008 Chev Cobalt or Pontiac G5 with this highway surge conditon, and NO DTC's
All other dealers:
Before disassembling the transmission to correct the concern, swap from another vehicle a known good TCM and retest.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
