| 2007-2008 Chevrolet Cobalt |
| 2006-2008 Pontiac Solstice |
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When installing a GM Accessories Personal Audio Link (PAL) system, XM must be enabled on vehicles equipped with XM radio (RPO U2K). Some vehicles may experience a condition that prevents the PAL module from showing up as an available module on the Tech
2. Entering bypass mode on the Tech 2 should allow the Tech 2 to recognize the PAL module.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Perform the PAL set-up procedure after entering bypass mode on the Tech 2.
Caution: Only use bypass mode when instructed to by SI, TAC or TCSC. Bypass mode should not used at any other time because of potential impacts to other procedures.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
