🢒 Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Chassis/Canister
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge pipe from the engine purge hose. Refer to
Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Engine/Chassis
.
Cap or plug the purge pipe and the engine purge hose to prevent contamination.
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
.
Remove the retaining nuts (1).
Disconnect the EVAP line from the plastic retainers (2).
Disconnect the quick connect fitting (1). Refer to
Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
.
Disconnect the EVAP line from the plastic retainers (2).
Pull down on the EVAP plastic retainers (3) and remove the EVAP line.
Installation Procedure
Install the EVAP line into the plastic retainers (3).
Connect the EVAP line to the plastic retainers (2).
Connect the quick connect fitting (1). Refer to
Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
.
Connect the EVAP line to the plastic retainers (2).
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the retaining nuts (1) and tighten to
10 N·m (89 lb in)
.
Remove the caps or plugs from the purge pipe and the engine purge hose.
Connect the purge pipe to the engine purge hose. Refer to
Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Engine/Chassis
