Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

    2. Object Number: 857190 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).

    3. Object Number: 658863 Size: SH
  3. Remove the retainer bolt.
  4. Remove the retainer.
  5. Remove the VSS.
  6. Remove and discard the O-ring.

Installation Procedure
  1. Lubricate a new O-ring with transmission fluid. Refer to Lubrication Specifications.
  2. Install the new O-ring.

    3. Object Number: 658863 Size: SH
  3. Install the VSS retainer.

    4. Install the VSS assembly.

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the VSS retainer bolt and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    5. Object Number: 857190 Size: SH
  5. Connect the VSS connector to the VSS (2).
  6. Install the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
