Preliminary Procedure

Remove the rear compartment lid inner trim in order to access the spoiler fasteners. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement.

Rear Spoiler Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Rear End Spoiler Assembly

Procedure

  1. Using a J 25070 or equivalent, apply heat under the mounting surface of the rear spoiler.
  2. Carefully lift the rear spoiler from the rear compartment lid.
  3. Clean the adhesive tape residue with a 50 / 50 solution by volume of isopropyl alcohol and clean drinkable water.
  4. Dry the mounting surface thoroughly with a clean lint-free cloth prior to installing the new rear end spoiler.

Remove the rear compartment lid inner trim panel in order to access the rear end spoiler nuts. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement.

Rear End Spoiler Assembly Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
Tighten the two right hand nuts first, followed by the left hand nuts.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

Rear End Spoiler Assembly

Procedure

  1. Using a J 25070 , apply heat under the mounting surface of the rear spoiler.
  2. Carefully lift the rear spoiler from the rear compartment lid, releasing the adhesive tape.
  3. Clean the adhesive residue with a 50/50 solution, by volume, of isopropyl and clean drinkable water.
  4. Dry the mounting surface area thoroughly using a dry lint-free cloth.
