Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the front and rear tire on the side the rocker molding is being serviced. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
2. Open both front and rear doors on the same side in order to assist in the rocker panel removal.

Wheelhouse Panel Screw (Qty: 2)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
1.5 N·m (13 lb in)

Rocker Panel Molding Retainer (Qty: 14)

Procedure

1. Using the J 38778 release the five lower retainers first from the rocker panel.
2. Release the nine upper retainers second, from the body side outer panel.
3. Replace any broken retainers as needed.
