Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2004 🢒 Colorado Pickup - 2WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 3.5L (L52) 🢒 Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels and Tires.
  3. Remove the engine shield if equipped. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement in Frame and Underbody
  4. Remove the lower intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  5. Support the engine using a jack stand and a block of wood.

    6. Object Number: 1201502 Size: SH
  6. Remove the engine mount-to-frame bracket through bolt for the mount being replaced.
  7. Loosen the right side through bolt.
  8. Remove the heater pipe bracket bolt from the engine mount. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  9. Raise the engine using the jack stand; the engine will tilt to one side.

  10. Remove the engine mount bolts.
  11. Remove the engine mount. You will need to articulate the mount in order to remove the mount.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the engine mount. You will need to articulate the mount in order to install the mount.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the engine mount bolts.

    3. Object Number: 1273486 Size: SH
  3. To aid in the installation of the bolts, start a bolt in position (1) first.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the engine mount bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  4. Lower the engine.

    5. Object Number: 1201502 Size: SH
  5. Install the engine mount-to-frame bracket through bolt.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten both of the engine mount-to-frame bracket bolts to 85 N·m (63 lb ft).

  6. Install the engine coolant pipe bracket bolt from the engine mount. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  7. Remove the jack stand.
  8. Install the lower intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Lower Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column.
  9. Install the engine shield if equipped. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement in Frame and Underbody
  10. Install the wheel and tire assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels and Tires.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
