Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2004 🢒 Colorado Pickup - 2WD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 2.8L (LK5) 🢒 Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle, high enough to access the top of the fuel tank through the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. If the vehicle is crew cab, lower the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  3. Remove the left pickup box wheelhouse liner. Refer to Pickup Box Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Rear End.

    4. Object Number: 1361711 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the fuel tank pressure (FTP) sensor (1).

    5. Object Number: 1361717 Size: SH
  5. Pull upward in order to remove the FTP sensor from the fuel tank module.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1361717 Size: SH
  1. Lightly lubricate the FTP sensor seal with clean engine oil.
  2. Press the FTP sensor fully into the fuel tank module.

    3. Object Number: 1361711 Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the FTP sensor (1).
  4. Install the left pickup box wheelhouse liner. Refer to Pickup Box Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Rear End.
  5. If the vehicle is a crew cab, install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
