Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1253074 Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the engine protection shield (EPS), if equipped. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 1305845 Size: SH
  3. Remove the vent hose from the vent tube on the front differential housing.
  4. Lower the vehicle.

    5. Object Number: 1305846 Size: SH
  5. Remove the vent hose from the retainers on the radiator core support.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1305846 Size: SH
  1. Install the vent hose to the retainers on the radiator core support.
  2. Raise the vehicle.

    3. Object Number: 1305845 Size: SH
  3. Install the vent hose to the vent tube on the front differential housing.

    4. Important: When installing the vent hose for the front differential, loop the vent hose so that foreign objects and debris are restricted from falling into the vent hose and blocking it.

  4. Loop the vent hose about 3 inches and install in the upper retainer.

    5. Object Number: 1253074 Size: SH
  5. Install the EPS, if equipped. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
