The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Water may leak from the headliner or water may be noticed on the drivers or passengers floor area. Water may enter the ditch molding seam. This type of leak can either saturate the headliner or travel into the seam, down the A-pillar area and travel on the floor to either the drivers or passenger side.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Follow water leak diagnosis and repair under General Information, Waterleaks in eSI. A possible source of the water leak may be from an open left or right roof weld seam under the ditch molding at the windshield. To repair this leak, it will be necessary to remove the ditch molding and seal the roof weld seam with seam sealer near the windshield. This repair should be done on both sides if the leak has been isolated to the roof panel area.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
