The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Supplement to Bulletin 04-08-44-021A. This will apply to vehicles with the US8 MP3 radio installed in vehicles built after January 1 of 2005. Reports have been "Long Load Time", "No Load", "CD skips" or a "CD Ejects" concern after Service Bulletin 04-08-44-021A.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Install updated calibration in TIS to resolve this concern. This calibration is under the Operating Systems tab in TIS, and is titled New software to resolve "CD will not load /eject" issues.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
