Removal Procedure
- Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.
- Disconnect the stoplamp switch electrical connectors.
- Remove the brake booster pushrod retainer (1).
- Remove the brake booster pushrod clevis pin (1).
- Remove the upper brake pedal bracket bolts (1).
- Remove the power vacuum brake booster nuts (1).
- Remove the brake pedal assembly (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the brake pedal assembly (1).
- Install the power vacuum brake booster nuts (1) and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
- Install the upper brake pedal bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).
- Install the brake booster pushrod clevis pin (1) to the pushrod and the brake pedal.
- Install the brake booster pushrod retainer (1).
- Connect the stoplamp switch electrical connectors.
- Install the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.
