The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When performing air conditioning diagnostics, the AC request signal that is monitored in the PCM data always shows "YES". This will occur even if the climate control is in the "OFF" position.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This is a software concern with the Tech 2, and currently is being looked at for revision. This parameter should be ignored at this time.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
